This Drogba penthouse in Foshan, China, embodies a refined balance of warmth, light, and natural elegance. The design embraces soft, earthy tones and tactile materials such as wood and stone, creating a serene and intimate atmosphere that reflects the personality and lifestyle of its owner. Natural light plays the leading role, shaping spaces and enhancing the subtle interplay of textures and colors throughout the home. Accents of greenery further connect the interior to nature, transforming the residence into a calm, sophisticated retreat suspended between urban life and organic tranquility.
The project redefines the apartment’s functional layout, creating a sense of openness and fluidity that eliminates visual and spatial barriers. Two independent yet interconnected zones were established: a living area, encompassing the living room, dining room, and kitchen, and a sleeping area, providing access to the bedrooms and private spaces.
At the heart of the apartment lies a central volume, thoughtfully designed to conceal ample storage and a dedicated space for prayer, serving as both a functional and symbolic core of the home.
The atmosphere throughout the apartment is warm and inviting, achieved through a careful selection of materials in soft, light tones, combined with varied textures applied in a contemporary style. Natural and artificial lighting interact dynamically with these materials, enhancing the spatial experience and evoking subtle, ever-changing sensations. The result is a sophisticated, elegant residence that harmoniously balances simplicity of form with sensory richness.
