Governor House

Modern elegance redefined in the heart of Accra.

This interior design project presents a 1,200-square-meter villa located in Accra, conceived in a refined modern luxury style. The design combines contemporary architecture with timeless elegance, emphasizing fluid spatial organization, sculptural forms, and a curated selection of premium materials. Natural light, sophisticated textures, and bespoke furnishings define the villa’s atmosphere, creating an environment that is both impressive and harmonious. Each space balances comfort and artistry, expressing a cosmopolitan vision of luxury tailored to modern living in Ghana’s vibrant capital.

Developed across four levels, the project transforms the original structure through an extensive redesign that includes the addition of a wellness area — featuring a gym, spa, and pool — conceived as a serene retreat within the residence.

The ground floor opens into a grand double-height living space, where a wall-mounted marble flake sculpture and a dramatic pendant chandelier define the villa’s artistic core. Light interacts with the marble’s texture and the warmth of wood surfaces, creating a dialogue between solidity and fluidity, elegance and comfort.

Marble and wood dominate the material palette, symbolizing the project’s dual character: refined yet welcoming, bold yet timeless. The upper levels host generous private suites, a cinema room, spacious walk-in wardrobes, and meticulously detailed bathrooms — each designed as a personal sanctuary that blends functionality with aesthetic richness.

Through its interplay of scale, light, and materiality, the villa embodies a cosmopolitan vision of contemporary living — a place where art, architecture, and lifestyle merge seamlessly in the heart of Accra.
